1.   FEDERAL GOVERNMENT INTERNSHIP Interviews!

Willisa Donald from the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) is coming to ODS on Tuesday, January 29th, 2007.  She will be interviewing students for internship positions within the Federal government and private sector.  The WRP is a recruitment and referral program that connects federal sector employers nationwide with highly motivated postsecondary students and recent graduates with disabilities who are eager to prove their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs.  Please sign up by contacting Enjie Hall, (hall.1270@osu.edu), or Chris Keck, (keck.48@osu.edu). The interviews will last 30mins.  Please be sure to pick up a packet of information that will need to be filled out for your interview.  Interview slots are going fast, so please contact us ASAP!  If you need any materials in an electronic or alternative format, please contact Enjie or Chris directly. 2. ENTRYPOINT’s 10 Week Summer Internship Opportunities! Interviews Soon!

EntryPoint has scheduled a recruitment trip to OSU on February 5th 2008!

AAAS ENTRY POINT! (www.entrypoint.org), a program of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), offers outstanding paid, 10-week internships and semester co-ops in major companies throughout the United States, is a program which places students with disabilities in 10-week summer internships at NASA, IBM, NOAA, Lockheed Martin, Merck, Google, CVS, and NAVAIR.

 

Entry Point is seeking students, who are full time before and after the internship period and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.  They must be majoring in life sciences, physical sciences, computer science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and other quantitatively-based fields (e.g. finance and economics).Some business majors may also be placed.

 

ENTRY POINT! is available to students with disabilities. You must also:

·        Be full-time undergraduate or graduate students

·        Be a Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or Computer Science major

·         Have a 3.0 average GPA (or higher)

·         Be a U.S. citizen

 

If you meet the above criteria, you might be selected for a position this summer where you will benefit from a mentor and receive competitive pay. 

If you are interested in a 30 minute interview, please contact Enjie Hall at hall.1270@osu.edu to schedule a time. You will need to complete and bring with you a self created application packet, consisting of:

 

  • a letter of interest
  • a resume
  • a transcript
  • two letters of recommendation
  • a statement of citizenship

 

Please bring as many of these materials as possible to the interview, as it would be very helpful.
