As a member of the disability community, you have a unique opportunity to promote an environment that fosters the success of people with disabilities by becoming a Disability Awareness Month volunteer.  By becoming a volunteer, you would be able to give your input and donate your special skills and abilities to planning events for the month, ranging from service projects to Beep Ball.  In addition, you would have the opportunity to implement these events, with the possibility of taking on leadership roles. Volunteering for Disability Awareness Month involves making a commitment to attend meetings biweekly on Wednesday evenings starting February 13, 2008 and ending in April, as well as attending events in April that your committee has planned.  Involvement with Disability Awareness Month would not only be a rewarding part of your experience here at OSU, but it would also be an impressive addition to your résumé. Please contact Caity McCandless at mccandless.8@osu.edu if you are interested.
