What makes some study strategies effective, while others fall short? Attend our workshop that will help you understand how memory works--and how to make your memory work for you! Discover the factors and processes that affect learning, and then pair these insights with your own preferences as a learner. Your study sessions will thank you, just in time for finals! Feel free to bring your lunch or a friend to this event, co-sponsored by the Office for Disability Services and the Walter E. Dennis Learning Center. Free Coca-Cola beverages & snacks provided to attendees!

3. Questions about your major, career planning or job search?

Enroll in Edu Paes 270.02 (call number 07395-0) for Winter, 2009! It is a career development class with course content that includes:

·         strategies/processes to clarify majors and career selection,

·         learn how to improve decision-making skills,

·         learn strategies for internship and job searches,

·         learn how to write a resume and job search letters,

·         learn to negotiate salary, apply to graduate school and have successful interviews! 

Students will have the opportunity to meet individually with the instructor to discuss their career development process and receive a personalized approach to their career related questions. The class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:30 - 2:48PM in the Younkin Success Center, RM 300.  It is a 3 credit hour class, graded S/U and is offered AU, WI and SP.

Tuesday, November 11, is a day to honor all the men and women who have served in America’s armed forces and to thank them for that service.
