1. Final Exam Special Announcement!
If you are taking your final exam at ODS, we request that you turn in your proctor sheet by Friday May 15th, 2009, the end of the seventh week. Students are responsible for contacting ODS the week before final exams to confirm the dates and times of their finals. ODS will send emails in the event that we have scheduled your exam at a remote location or if we scheduled a second or third time choice.
2. Final UNITY Meeting and Elections!
Hello All,
Well, it has been a great year! Now it's time to elect next year's officers. We will be meeting on Wednesday May 20 at5pm in our usual place, MARK YOUR CALENDARS! In addition to electing new members, we will be playing a few games, if you want to know which ones, you'll have to be there. Thank you to everyone who has attended this year's meeting, I think our Ice Cream Social went off really well. Also, a special thanks to the officer's who have been so helpful in ensuring our various events go smoothly.

3. Paid Internships for Income Eligible 18-24yrs. Franklin County Residents!
Summer YouthWorks is a 6 week PAID internship and professional development program for Franklin County residents who are *WIA income eligible.
Students will be required to:
- Complete an on-line income eligibility verification
- Meet with an intern coordinator to complete an assessment
- Attend work readiness and career exploration workshops
- Work 20 hours per week and gain valuable experience
- Be a resident of Franklin County, Ohio
WrightChoice is recruiting:
- *WIA income eligible young adults ages 18-24 years
- June 2007 - 2009 high school graduates or current college students
Who are:
- Minority students including African-Americans, Latinos, Somali, and students with disabilities,
- Former foster care youth or
- Parents with dependent children
Interested in:
- Business/Technology
- Engineering
- Arts/Culture
- Education
- Entrepreneurship
Internships will begin late June/early July.

4. Earn a $10 Gift card! Go to a Student Wellness Center Research Focus Group!
The Student Wellness Center and Student Life Research and Assessment are conducting focus groups around stress and stress management for the next 2 weeks.
Earn $10 for 1 hour... The Student Wellness Center (Student Wellness Center Link(www.swc.osu.edu)) is conducting focus groups around student stress. Attend one focus group and receive a $10 gift card for your time. All information obtained in the focus groups are confidential and will assist the university in developing or enhancing services available to students around stress management. For more information or to sign up for a focus group, phone 292.4527 or stop in the Student Wellness Center (B130 RPAC). All focus groups will be on a first come, first serve basis.

5. Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) Campus Area Support Group!
Young Adult Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) Campus Area Support Group: Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) is a peer based support group for those with mental illness or those supporting friends or family with a mental illness. The NW Columbus Chapter of DBSA recently expanded their support group meetings to include a campus area meeting that will have a support group specifically geared toward young adults with depression and bipolar disorder, or young adult support people. Attendance permitting, there will also be open groups for people of any age. This group is open to anyone interested; participants are not required to be OSU students or employees. Campus area meetings are on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, from 7-9 PM. Once the group is up and going, expansion is planned to provide support on the 1st Wednesday of each month as well. 6. Network with Employers at "From Classmates to Colleagues"!
Are you a graduating senior? Are your apprehensive about the next step in your life? "From Classmates to Colleagues" will provide students with the opportunity to meet with various employers, alumni, wellness, and career experts to assist them with life after college transitions, particularly in light of the changing economy. Keynote speakers and a panel of employers and alumni will address the challenges of the current job market, world of work expectations, and employability skills needed to navigate life after college. Students can attend concurrent workshops about managing finances, coping with stress, understanding the workplace culture, marketing the college experience, learning how to network, and using transferable skills. Additionally, a resource room will be available for
students to have free resume critiques and access to helpful handouts on career related topics. The event will conclude with a networking reception.
Hope to see you on May 20th from 10am-4pm in the RPAC, meeting rooms 1-3. Feel free to come and go as you please.
