1. Sports FUSION Invites YOU to the Wii Party!
Sports FUSION, Finding Unified Sports in OSU's Networks, is a student group for students with and without disabilities. Join us on Wednesday May 27, from 5pm -7pm in RPAC Meeting Room #1. We will be holding officer elections for next year. All are welcome to attend! Additionally, we will be playing WII, eating pizza and handing out prizes. Come celebrate the end of a great year with us. See you there!
2. Apply for the "Evening of the Arts" Scholars Program and Scholarship!
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. Delta Omicron Sigma, Columbus Alumnae Chapter, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is looking for a currently enrolled college (post secondary) student with financial need and artistic ability to qualify for the annual "EVENING OF THE ARTS" Scholars Program.
One scholarship will be awarded on July 1, 2009.
To qualify, each student must:
Be pursuing a degree in the field of art (music/graphic/theatre/dance/literature)
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Show proof of current enrollment
Applicants must submit a minimum of two of the following:
250 words-or-less essay on how art (music/dance/graphic/theatre/literature) has influenced their life
-And a piece of art-
Poem
Sculpture
Painting
Drawing
Photo
Song
Dance
Play performance
Vocal or visual art performances must be submitted via VHS /CD/DVD format and can not be longer than 5 minutes in length. All materials submitted become the property of the EAG/SGRho Organization, Inc. and will not be returned.

3. Upward Bound Now Accepting Applications!
*JOB ANNOUNCEMENT*
The Ohio State University Upward Bound Program is accepting applications for a Science Academic Specialist and a Foreign Language Academic Specialist. The Science Academic Specialist should be able to teach the following science levels: Physical, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The Foreign Language Academic Specialist should be able to teach both Spanish and French. Academic Specialists will provide part-time instruction for the 6-week summer session taking place Monday through Friday, June 15th through July 24th from 9am to 1pm. A Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field is required; teacher certificate preferred. 4. Scholarship Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities!
Google/Lime Scholarship
Google and Lime are partnering together to offer scholarships to students with disabilities who are pursuing university degrees in the field of computer science in Canada or the U.S. Scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of candidate's academic background and demonstrated passion. Deadline is June 1, 2009.
ELA Scholarship
The Ethel Louise Armstrong Foundation provides financial assistance for women with physical disabilities who are in graduate school. The goal is to allow them to pursue their degree, and develop their leadership role within the disability community. Deadline is June 1, 2009.
AAHD Scholarship Program
The American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD) Scholarship Program is offering support to students with disabilities who are pursuing higher education. Preference will be given to students who plan to pursue undergraduate/graduate studies in the field of public health, health promotion, disability studies, to include disability policy and disability research. The program accepts applications year-round.
