1. Pomerene Hall Entrance and ODS Entrance Closed Temporarily due to Construction!
To ODS students:
Due to the current stage of the Mirror Lake Café transition to the Mirror Lake Creamery and Grille in autumn quarter, the main entrance into Pomerene Hall will be shut down temporarily tomorrow, Friday, August 21 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. An accessible entrance into the building will be clearly indicated by appropriate signage. In addition, the workers will be on alert for people who may need assistance into the building and will escort people through the work site as appropriate. Others may enter Pomerene from the second floor steps. Although this may be an inconvenience for some of you, please know that all of you will be able to access the building during this brief time frame. I have worked with the construction staff and other OSU staff who are involved in the Mirror Lake renovation project. The ADA Coordinator is aware of this matter and both of us have walked through the accessible entrance.

2. Final Exam Information for Summer Quarter 2009!
Next week is Summer Quarter 09 Finals Week- August 25th, 26th and 27th. If you are taking your final exams at ODS, please turn in your proctor sheets to ODS by 4:00pm on Friday, August 21, 2009. Please contact our office if you have questions about your exam date and time.

3. ODS Welcomes New Staff Addition to the Alternative Media Production Lab!
We are pleased to announce the addition of Nicole Chattah, who has been hired as the Alternative Media Production Manager of the Office for Disability Services. Nicole is a graduate of OSU with a B.A. in Music. She enjoys the arts, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Nicole previously worked at ODS in the Alternative Media Department during college and then as ODS Exam Scheduling Coordinator after graduating. She then moved to California and worked as a customer service manager for a marketing firm. She returned to OSU in 2007 and worked at the Medical Center, coordinating cancer clinical trials. She returns to ODS as the new Alternative Media Production Manager and is excited to be back. She wishes everyone a successful and enjoyable 2009-2010 school year!
Please stop by and introduce yourself to Nicole if you are an Alternative Media user so that she can get to know you and your accommodation needs.
